February Pet Portrait – ‘Valentines’

February’s Pet Portrait theme was ‘Valentines’! Many congratulations to Barney and Wilbur who were our first ever pet portrait winners. Their owners sent us this small description about them! He is a keen Border Terrier breeder:-

“I have 5 dogs – 4 Border Terriers and a Patterdale/Staffie cross Barney, my 6-year old male dog is in the picture together with his latest son, Wilbur, who is now owned by a friend. I also have Pickle who is 10, mother and daughter Beetle and Teazel (…Teazel is also Barney’s daughter) and Ebby is my Patterdale cross. All have very good temperaments but are very protective of one another. I find Borders wonderful family pets but also fun as a rat pack. Barney has been an excellent stud, being the father of many lovely dogs and a lot in the Devizes area. I have been keeping Borders for about 25 years now, keeping my own line of bitches because of them being such nice dogs.”
